Waypoint Sign Company and Lowe Projects

The Waypoint team has been very fortunate to work with Lowe on a few projects in the Seattle market. We’ve been engaged to provide wayfinding, code, ADA, exterior and marketing signage for the team’s for-rent and for-sale developments. Lowe builds differentiated, uniquely branded developments that are leaders in every market that the company works within.

We understand and appreciate Lowe’s market position, and as such, work diligently to deliver signage that speaks to the building’s character, brand and audience. Signage can be the code-required numbers and letters on the wall, or signage can be an important element in creating places where people simply want to be. At Waypoint, we believe that signage supports placemaking, and we’re committed to helping the Lowe team bring their project stories to life.

Our firm works nationally, and we would love the opportunity to support additional Lowe team members with their signage needs. In order to provide a bit of insight into our work for the company, we have included some quick snippets on two Lowe projects.

Thank you for the opportunity to present our work, and for your valued partnership to date.

Examples of projects completed to date include:

Unit IDs allow for resident personalization with various "talisman" icons to choose from.

The monument sign in front of the building has a face created from many individual "lucky" pennies.

Illuminated parking sign during installation.

Corridor directional signage with raised numbers on acrylic.

Elevator lobby signage changed by floor and highlighted additional lucky charms.

Talisman – Downtown redmond, washington

Waypoint was honored to work with the Lowe team on this new mixed-use / multi-family development in Redmond Town Center in Downtown Redmond, Washington. The midrise development features 286 units and 9400 SF of retail that adds to the walkable environment in this urban village. Talisman is a development targeted at Redmond’s innovative tech community, and as such includes elements that speak to this clever, creative audience. The name Talisman speaks to an object that is thought to have magical powers, and that brings good luck. Waypoint developed signage in partnership with the design and marketing teams that speaks to the name of the development, yet that connects with its strong design aesthetic. Signage includes unit IDs where the resident can pick their lucky talisman, an exterior sign fabricated with a face comprised entirely of pennies, and floor IDs that have unique lucky icons per floor. Waypoint provided environmental graphics, wayfinding, code, and exterior ID signage for the Talisman development.

Canopy mounted exterior signage hangs below the glass canopy, welcoming residents to their homes.

Wayfinding signage package, in keeping with the building aesthetic is classic in black and white.

LUMA – FIRST HILL, SEATTLE

Waypoint was delighted to work with the Lowe team on their 24-story, 168-unit Seattle condominium project, Luma. The development celebrates the intersection of two of Seattle’s beloved neighborhoods, historic and stately First Hill and vibrant and youthful Capitol Hill. Signage design and fabrication spoke to the elegance of the slender, sleek building. The property ID, exterior sign was canopy mounted, greeting residents and their guests with an upscale presentation that includes a bit of a quirk – a nod to the building’s two neighborhoods. Waypoint worked with Lowe throughout the project, providing construction hoarding, sales office displays and finally, wayfinding and exterior building signage for the constructed project.
