WAYPOINT SIGN COMPANY AND HOLLAND PARTNER GROUP PROJECTS

The Perry   |   JUXT   |   Kado NW   |  HUE   |   True North   |   Union   |   Rivet   |   The Ivey on Boren

The Waypoint team has been very fortunate to work with Holland Partner Group on many projects in both Seattle and Portland, Oregon. We’ve been engaged to provide wayfinding, code, ADA, exterior and marketing signage for  the team’s mid- and high-rise developments. And, now and then, we’ve also developed and installed environmental graphics. Holland builds differentiated, uniquely branded developments that are leaders in every market that the company works within. We understand and appreciate Holland’s market position, and as such, work diligently to develop signage that speaks to the building character, brand and audience. Our signage adds to the development’s vibe and draw, rather than simply being required numbers and letters. As Waypoint works across the country, we would love the opportunity to support additional Holland offices with their signage needs. The projects below represent some of our new, recent and historic work with the Holland team. We thank you for the opportunity to partner with you!

THE PERRY – FIRST HILL, SEATTLE

The Perry evokes a boutique hotel experience. At the same time, with its location in Seattle’s first residential neighborhood, the building introduces an historical perspective…with a twist. Waypoint provided wayfinding (including code and ADA) signage as well as marketing signage for this stately development. The signage design draws from the surrounding historic neighborhood with features that provide a nod to elements such as wrought iron, yet with a budget friendly execution. In October, our team was notified that the project, originally scheduled to deliver in February, would be complete in December. Signage was of course needed to meet TCO requirements. Waypoint accelerated the project and delivered 8 weeks early, meeting the needs of the project team. The Perry includes 209 units.

KADO NW  – THE ALPHABET DISTRICT, PORTLAND, OREGON

Kado NW is a “crafted” community, one that speaks to the organic nature and sensibility of the Portland market. As such, Waypoint developed a signage package that leverages natural materials utilized to offer a detailed, handcrafted look and feel. Our firm developed wayfinding (including code and ADA) signage as well as exterior signage for this project.  Kado NW includes 196 units.

JUXT – SOUTH LAKE UNION, SEATTLE

The Juxt development embraces the juxtaposition of innovation and industry, two key elements in the historic, and present growth of South Lake Union. The resulting signage design included modern, crisp signs as well as signage with a more crafted look and feel.  Waypoint provided wayfinding (including code and ADA) signage, exterior signage and marketing signage for this development that includes 362 units.

TRUE NORTH – South lake union, Seattle

Waypoint provided exterior signage, wayfinding (including code and ADA) signage and marketing signage for this mid-rise development in the burgeoning SLU market. Signage design and fabrication supports the “if REI were an apartment building” ethos of the community, adding yet one more layer to the unique and compelling project story. A truly Northwest building, True North tells its outdoor lifestyle story from its amazing amenities to its custom-crafted signage. True North offers 286 units.

UNION – SOUTH LAKE UNION, SEATTLE

Union was one of Waypoint’s first two projects with Holland Partner Group. As an early project in the Dexter Corridor of South Lake Union, Union needed to project a strong presence on the developing sub-neighborhood. A large-scale, dimensional monument sign was accented by crisp canopy signage at the building entrance. Interior signage supported the building’s modern yet comfortable vibe.  Waypoint provided exterior, wayfinding (including code and ADA) and marketing signage for this important mid-rise development that includes 275 units.

HUE – SOUTH LAKE UNION, SEATTLE

Hue, now an Oakwood suites property, brought a fun, funky and edgy vibe to Dexter Avenue in South Lake Union. The property unabashedly introduced a strong, vibrant brand and the signage for the project was no exception. Hue made a statement in the early days of this incredible neighborhood. Waypoint was pleased to provide wayfinding (including code and ADA) signage, exterior signage and marketing signage for the Hue Apartments development which includes just under 100 units.

RIVET – SOUTH LAKE UNION, SEATTLE

Rivet is an apartment community that was built within the Cascade neighborhood of South Lake Union. During WWII, this neighborhood also hosted a production facility where women worked to support wartime efforts. These women were celebrated under the moniker of “Rosie the Riveter.”  Signage at Rivet supports this story and theme, and introduces industrial elements. Waypoint provided wayfinding (including code and ADA) signage as well as exterior signage for this fun development.

THE IVEY ON BOREN – DENNY TRIANGLE, SEATTLE

Waypoint has recently commenced signage design and building programming for Ivy, a new Holland Partner Group development in the rapidly changing neighborhood of Denny Triangle. We’re excited to be partnering with Holland once again and can’t wait to update this page with new imagery of this stunning project. The Ivey on Boren includes 432 units in a 44-story high-rise tower.

ADDITIONAL WORK – MARKETING SIGNAGE PROJECTS

Premiere on Pine – Downtown Seattle

Holland’s Premiere on Pine set new records for the Seattle market in its lease-up and its ultimate sale. Waypoint supported Holland’s efforts with marketing signage, including a vinyl application on the high-rise building, retail window graphics and a custom a-board.

Coppins Well – First Hill, Seattle

Waypoint was delighted to support the marketing efforts for one of Holland’s first new developments in the Seattle market. In order to convey the ethos of this building through marketing signage, a highly customized rolling aboard was developed in addition to storytelling retail window graphics. Building banners were also installed, driving interest from the nearby large scale employers.
