The Waypoint team goes back to school in orange and purple. Go Tigers!
Who doesn’t wish they could go back to college as a fully-fledged adult? To a big football school nonetheless! Waypoint’s team dove into the opportunity to create signage for The Pier at Clemson, considering the 914-bed expansion of an existing student housing development while wearing our best orange and purple outfits. A project from developer and manager Core Spaces, The Pier introduces a whole new way of life for students at South Carolina’s Clemson University. Set along the shores of Lake Hartwell, The Pier has a clubhouse reminiscent of a lakeside resort, varied housing types and amenities galore. The college experience at The Pier bears zero resemblance to a dorm in the 80s or 90s! Waypoint provided design refinement and expansion, fabrication and installation services for the property’s clubhouse, amenities, wayfinding and exterior signage. The signage is playful yet sophisticated, adding to the overall community feel of The Pier development.
Core Spaces partnered with Tom Winkopp Development on The Pier. Northworks Architects & Planners was the architect, Curioso provided interior design services and Wells and Wells Construction was the general contractor.
