Shooting for the moon with space-age inspiration in Pasadena, California
Pasadena is home to the Rose Bowl, the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and now… MW Lofts! Located in downtown Pasadena, MW Lofts is a 115-unit, 114,000 square foot, two-building development by Prominent Development. Inclusive of 14,000 square feet of ground floor retail, the project offers a light-filled, contemporary option for residents seeking an urban lifestyle. Waypoint provided design, fabrication and installation services for the wayfinding (inclusive of code and ADA signage), as well as the exterior signage for the project. As the client didn’t have a logo when they first approached Waypoint, our team also developed the property’s logo. Building signage speaks to the presence of NASA in the community with a space, tech-inspired, clean design direction. Unit IDs even depict the moon! While the developer originally envisioned a blade sign for the project’s exterior, a corner column provided a significant opportunity for enhanced visibility and creative signage too. After detailed engineering, an unusual and eye-catching corner sign resulted! Designed by Tyler Kelly Architecture, MW Lofts was constructed by PGK Partners.
