Creative signage design + a thoughtful signage strategy supports a mixed-use development
Waypoint was pleased to work with Wood Partners on their fourth project in the Portland area, Alta Civic Station, a 318 unit development with 8,531 SF of retail space. This mid-rise community includes wrap-around ground floor retail and a stand-alone jewelbox. Waypoint provided wayfinding and code signage, exterior signage and retail signage guidelines. Unit IDs add to a vibrant hallway experience with a direct to surface digital print graphic on appleply and raised back-painted tactile lettering using a custom color to coordinate with interior design guidelines. Waypoint was also able to assist Wood Partners by studying a client-provided parking plan and reducing the amount of signage required by leveraging efficient wayfinding. In addition, our team’s exterior sign study also produced a signage plan that maximized city allowances while providing excellent branding opportunities for the project. As a vertically integrated company, Wood Partners was also the general contractor for the project. YBA Architects was the architect for the development.
