Waypoint Sign Company and Bosa

The Waypoint team has been very fortunate to work with Bosa on several projects on the west coast. We’ve been engaged to provide wayfinding, code, ADA, exterior and marketing signage for the team’s developments. Bosa builds differentiated, uniquely branded developments that are leaders in every market that the company works within.

We understand and appreciate Bosa’s market position, and as such, work diligently to deliver signage that speaks to the building’s character, brand and audience. Signage can be the code-required numbers and letters on the wall, or signage can be an important element in creating places where people simply want to be. At Waypoint, we believe that signage supports placemaking, and we’re committed to helping the Bosa team bring their project stories to life.

Our firm works nationally, and we would love the opportunity to support additional Bosa team members with their signage needs. In order to provide a bit of insight into our work for the company, we have included some quick snippets on some of our Bosa projects.

Thank you for the opportunity to present our work, and for your valued partnership to date.

Examples of projects completed to date include:

INSIGNIA – DOWNTOWN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

Insignia was the first condominium project in Seattle to be marketed after the recession, which created concern regarding condominium pre-sales and support for high $/SF pricing. As potential buyers were hesitant about condominiums and Insignia was priced at the top of the market, creating a broad, positive impression for the project was of great importance. An extensive signage package included site hoarding, retail window graphics, and large scale building-mounted signage in addition to a full complement of aboards and sales office directional signage.  Waypoint was also responsible for wayfinding, code and building ID signage for Insignia. This complicated, large scale, two tower with podium development required an extensive and thoughtful wayfinding plan. To further challenge the signage plan, the full block garage, podium and one tower were built one year ahead of the second tower. Residents and guests visiting ground floor retailers had to be able to navigate the building, and signage had to be developed with the knowledge that a second phase would deliver in the future.

ONE88 – DOWNTOWN BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON

One88 is a significant, luxury condominium project in Downtown Bellevue with 143 large, high-end homes. Waypoint was engaged to assist with wayfinding, code, exterior ID signage as well as large scale graphics. The unusual multi-story exterior environmental graphics included in the project that were both a city requirement and a Bosa desire. The graphics adorned a blank wall facing a parking lot and a neighboring property, creating a much more pleasant view for those in the area. Waypoint executed the large scale wall graphics utilizing a single photo which provided challenges due to the size of the output. Interior wayfinding and exterior signage add to the upscale, elegant feel of this stunning development.

Back of house signage is layered and high-touch, speaking to the quality and character of the building.

Raised numbers and letters as well as the signage substrate boast a red edge.

Signage includes routered numbers and design elements as well as raised numbers and of course, braille.

Stairwell signage is elevated, with routered numbers and raised letters and numbers.

ARDEN cONDOMINIUMS – MIssion bay, sAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

Waypoint was delighted to work with the Bosa team in the development of their Mission Bay communities, in providing a full design/build signage package for the company’s condominium building, Arden. Two sixteen story towers sit on Mission Creek, offering exceptional access to employment, entertainment and a casual San Francisco lifestyle in this amazing mixed-use neighborhood. Waypoint’s team worked to complement the sleek tower design in this forward-thinking area. Signage included wayfinding, code, ADA and exterior signage. As with the neighborhood, the signage is layered and dimensional, melding the exterior and interior design into a thoughtful package.
