The bright and fun building ID sign truly brings the "highlighter" in the HiLite brand to life.

The building ID sign is a push-through acrylic cabinet with flourescent vinyl-topped letters.

Amenity signage captured the fun spirit of the brand and the building.

Directional signage continued to support the playful brand, bringing a bit of brightness into the corridors.

The building signage supported the colorful, playful brand of this building intended for a creative, maker audience.

Bright like a highlighter, HiLite brings colorful signage to an emerging neighborhood

Located in an evolving neighborhood of Seattle, HiLite came to the market as a bright, cheerful and energetic community focused on creating friends out of neighbors, and emphasizing the creative spirit and passions of its somewhat pioneering residents. With 206 units and 5200 SF of ground floor retail split between two buildings, this One Trent Development project HiLite leased quickly to individuals involved in all kinds of maker and creator careers and hobbies. The Waypoint team translated the colorful, playful brand into engaging signage that reflects the unique individuals living within the building. Waypoint provided design, fabrication and installation services for the wayfinding (inclusive of code and ADA signage), as well as the exterior signage for the project. Due to the vibrant and varied colors in the brand, and the use of extensive direct-to-surface digital printing, the project required multiple rounds of color testing with the client, and on-site to ensure that the palette was exactly correct. Studio19 was the architect for the project and WG Clark Construction was the general contractor.
