Elegant, custom signage supports the brand and experience of a high-end community.

Upscale, custom signage to support a multi-family development with a high-end, curated design aesthetic

Waypoint was delighted to work with the Wilson Meany team on their newest multi-family development in San Mateo. The Morgan is an 82-unit development offering only 2 and 3 bedroom homes with private outdoor space. The project is located within Bay Meadows, a large-scale TOD urban village being created from the former Bay Meadows racetrack where Seabiscuit and Citation once raced. Wilson Meany challenged the Waypoint team to design and develop interior wayfinding and exterior signage that would add to the elegant presentation of the community. Targeted at an upscale, discerning audience, The Morgan includes stunning mahogany interior finishes and doorways. Waypoint worked closely with the developer to match the mahogany in the development of unit IDs. Custom brass numbers and letters were developed with multiple finishes in an effort to find just the right look. Even the back-of-house required code signage, such as evacuation maps, carried an elegant and custom feel to match the high-end design aesthetic of the property. Plant Construction was the GC and BDE Architecture provided architectural services for the development.

Back-of-house code signage carried the elegant look and feel of the whole wayfinding package.

Unit IDs were carefully matched to the unit mahogany doors with custom brass numbers.

The mahogany was brought into the restroom signage, but in a less expensive, yet still elegant manner.

Amenity signage included a laser etched mark, speaking to the property name, The Morgan.

Wayfinding signage also included mahogany accents as well as raised lettering.

There is no reason that a back-of-house sign can't be elegant.
